Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. James D. Noble was called to preach the gospel in 1996 and a year later ordained into the ministry at First Baptist Church Highland Park. He served as pastor of Traveler’s Rest Baptist Church in eastern Arkansas for seven years before relocating to the Memphis area for seminary training in 2004. Dr. Noble is the former Pastor of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church, which was located on the campus of the University of Memphis, in Memphis TN. Dr. Noble received a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock. He earned both his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from Mid- America Baptist Theological Seminary in Cordova, TN. He is devoted to teaching and preaching the Bible for sinners to know Jesus and for believers to change the world for Christ. Currently Dr. Noble is the Pastor of Mountain Spring Baptist Church, Anderson SC. Additionally, Dr. Noble is Interim Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion and Assistant Professor of Pastoral Ministry at Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina. In the College of Christian Studies and Clamp Divinity School, he teaches courses in the area of preaching, ministry, leadership, and biblical worldview. In addition to his pastoral ministry roles, he served as Vice President and member of the Executive Board of the Tennessee Baptist Convention, as a leadership strategist for the Mid- South Baptist Association, in the Memphis area, and has been involved in international missions in Ghana, the Dominican Republic, and leads pilgrimages to the Holy Land. Dr. Noble’s focus is on loving his family and his foundation is his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He and his wife Redunda married in 1989. They are the proud parents of two sons, one daughter, one daughter-in-law and a sweet granddaughter, Joy Danielle Noble.
