Dr. F. Bruce Williams can be described as pastor, evangelist, advocate, mentor and visionary. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Bates Memorial Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Under his leadership, the membership has grown from 100 to over 5,000 members. Dr. Williams desire to reach others extends beyond the pulpit in his position as Chairman of the Board for Bates Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit organization of the church that works with the community to provide education enrichment, cultural exposure, and community building opportunities for residents. He is also a board member of Metro Bank and a member of the trustee board of Simmons College of Kentucky. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida A & M University, obtained his Master of Divinity from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and his Doctorate in Ministry from the United Theological Seminary. He has numerous honors including being featured in the Inaugural Edition of Who’ Who in Black Louisville and in 2014 he was honored by the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary for excellence in pastoral leadership and service. He has authored three books entitled Gideon A Hero in the Making, You Can Have As Far As You Can See and Love Notes- 100 Inspirational Devotionals. Dr. Williams is married to the former Leona Michelle Smith and they have two adult daughters, Imani and Nailah Cymone.
