Senior Pastor of Christ Fellowship

In 1997 Bruce led a team of leaders to found Christ Fellowship in McKinney, TX, where he serves as the senior pastor. Bruce also taught Systematic Theology at DTS (1989-1993). Bruce graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Plan II the Honors Liberal Arts Program (’82). He received a Masters Degree in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) (’86); and did doctoral work in the History of Ideas at the University of Texas Dallas. Bruce founded Centers for Church Based Training (CCBT) in 1990, which creates strategies and curriculum to help churches disciple people and develop leaders. He created the educational engine used in most course, the WISDOM© process. Bruce also helped form 3E United (formally 3E McKinney), a local multi-church non-profit organization created to aid and equip those who are under resourced in the surrounding community. Bruce has authored 10 books: Leading a Church in a Time of Sexual Questioning, Thomas Nelson under the Leadership Network NEXT series, Same-Sex Wedding: Should I Attend, A Wise Way to Develop Your Own Response; Never the Same: A Fresh Look at the Sermon on the Mount, Dadlin Media, 2017, and When God Makes No Sense: A Fresh Look at Habakkuk, Dadlin Media, 2017, Sexuality: Approaching Controversial Issues with Grace, Truth and Hope, Dadlin Media, 2016, Same-Sex Marriage: A bold call to the church in response to the Supreme Court decision, Dadlin Media, 2016, BIG God: A fresh look at Daniel, Confia Publishers, 2015, Your Church in Rhythm, Jossey-Bass under the Leadership Network Innovation Series, 2011, Your Life in Rhythm, Tyndale 2009. Leadership Baton, co-authored with Jeff Jones, Rowland Forman, Zondervan 2004. Bruce and his wife, Tamara, were married in 1983 and have been blessed with five adult children and five grandchildren. Bruce is a creative high-energy entrepreneur. He enjoys the outdoors, climbing mountains, and playing racquetball. Bruce has a passion for developing leaders and multiplying churches for Christ’s cause.
